HOW DOES HELPR WORK?
Screened babysitters arrive at your door with just 3 hours notice. Or plan ahead for as much as 90 days in advance.
WHO ARE THE HELPRS?
Helprs are pre-screened professional babysitters with extensive experience, nurturing demeanors and strong work ethic. They’re true role models.
WHAT'S THE SCREENING PROCESS?
In-person interview, background check, ID verification, CPR certification check, qualitative phone-based reference checks, and community monitoring. We’re highly invested in the culture of Helpr. We work with the most professional sitters in the industry.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Rates vary by location and notice given. Southern CA starts at $21/hr and Northern CA at $30/hr. Add $1 for each additional child per hour. We add 15% for jobs booked with less than 8 hours notice and hotel and holiday prices vary. Cost is always listed prior to booking so there are NO SURPRISES!
DO I GET TO MEET MY HELPR BEFORE THEY ARRIVE TO WORK?
Helprs are introduced to you by photo, video, and profile. If you’d like time altogether with your children, we recommend booking your Helpr at least an additional fifteen minutes before you need to head out.
Another option is to book a Helpr for an interview or trial run while you’re home to give you more time to get to know each other.
CAN I CHANGE HELPRS IF THE PERSONALITY FIT OF THE SELECTED SITTER DOESN’T FEEL RIGHT?
Yes. You can cancel the job and rebook. Or call support to give you a hand.

MY HELPR WAS AMAZING. HOW CAN I HIRE THEM AGAIN?
Every Helpr you work with is saved in your account unless you ask us to delete them. They’re always requested first before we reach out to new Helprs.
HOW DO I PAY FOR MY HELPR’S PARKING AT MY HOTEL?
Most hotels have tough street parking. If yours does, have your Helpr charge their parking to your room. Just call and let them know ahead of time!
WHAT IF WE GO OVER THE TIME SCHEDULED?
Please let your Helpr know as soon as possible that you may need them to stay later. Our Helpr's will do their best to accommodate your request.
WHAT IF WE GO UNDER THE TIME SCHEDULED?
We will always charge for 75% of the time requested or the 3 hour minimum, whichever is more. This helps us keep top babysitters happy.
WHAT IS THE BILLING PROCEDURE?
After your Helpr works, you’re charged within 24 hours for the final times used. This will be reflected in your account for ‘past bookings’ as well as emailed to you.
SHOULD I TIP MY HELPR?
We’re adding this billing feature to our next update. In the meantime, email us at email@example.com to add gratuity within an hour of your sitter leaving.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
There’s no fee if you cancel with more than 24 hours notice of the start time. If the start time is 24 hours from now or less, the fee is the 3 hour minimum or 75% of the total time booked, whichever is more.
If you book a job with less than 24 hours notice, you have a 30 minute grace period to cancel before you’re charged a fee.
